The Ultimate Adventure of Jay and Lee Wilson

Jay and Lee Wilson

Lewis and Clark did it 202 years ago, so why not Jay 75, and his wife Lee, 72 of Grangeville, Idaho? They will be canoeing 2,500 miles down the Missouri River from Three Forks, Montana to St. Louis MO, where Lewis and Clark started their historic journey. Jay and Lee will be traveling in their homemade foam core, fiberglass, 30 ft. canoe which they designed and built especially for this trip in the garage of their friend and canoe partner, Bernie Willis. They have named their canoe “Voyager’s Dream”.

Jay, a Korean War Veteran, and his wife Lee, a retired Chiropractor, are great-grandparents, have been married 53 years and have been planning this trip for 2 years.

Their historic trip will begin SOON. They hope to average 75 miles per day.

Jay and Lee want people to know that life is about the journey and the people you share it with, no mater how old you are. We can all do something! They hope that by their example others will not only be inspired to pursue their dreams, but also to bring attention to, and do something about those who need help the most--starving children.

Jay, while serving in Korea, never got over the sight of so many children whose bellies were swollen because of extreme hunger. “This is a world-wide problem,” he says, “and with the help of the World Wide Web people can join us to help end global hunger by clicking here. Donations benefit children in the US and around the world.
